
At the moment I am studying proofreading. It's a distance learning course and, I have to say, it's not that easy. But then that should come as no surprise. I think I also slightly misunderstood the concept. I thought for a while that it was all about spotting grammatical and spelling errors. And of course it is but I am now finding out that the real craft of proofreading involves spotting errors or anomalies between two texts, two documents if you like. That puts a rather more mundane complexion on things. But I'll hang in there and keep plodding away.
After all, life is a learning-curve..
